About Takeoff
Turn an architect's PDF into a CSV in 60 seconds.
We pull measurements straight from the vector geometry of the PDF — no OCR, no AI guessing. Built for estimators who are tired of clicking through 50 pages with a digital ruler.
How it works
- 01Upload the plan PDFArchitect's full set or a single sheet. Vector PDFs (AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD) work best.
- 02Pipeline does the workSheet detection → polyline extraction → trade-aware reconstruction. ~30–60 seconds for ~50 pages.
- 03Download or sharePull the CSV into your bid. Share the report URL. Delete when done.
Who it's for
What the pipeline extracts today
34 tests · 31 within ±3% · 3 within ±10% · 0 offAlways estimator-reviewed. Treat the CSV as a fast first pass, not a final bid. Accuracy numbers come from the 385 N Las Casas reference set (a 54-page residential AutoCAD plan with a Bluebeam-produced takeoff CSV). The pipeline is calibrated on residential AutoCAD drawings — institutional or steel-frame plans will return less coverage until we add a per-architect profile for them.
Privacy
Your PDFs and CSVs stay on your Takeoff server. Nothing is sent to third-party AI services for measurement extraction — the pipeline is a local Python program (pdfplumber + PyMuPDF + shapely + OpenCV). Public report links use unguessable IDs; you control them with the delete button.
